We had the perfect day for birding on the rim, sunny and cool. The warblers were moving through in great numbers, the Red-faced Warbler becoming almost a common sight as we moved from one spot to the next. Western Bluebirds and Dark-eyed Juncos were also abundant.

Campers and ATV's were coming in for the long weekend; however, they were staying on the trails and not affecting our birding.

We saw a huge kettle of Common Ravens soaring overhead as we came down the hill to Camp Verde, a good end to our day of birding.
